Service Description
Yin yoga offers profound physical and mental benefits by using long -held, passive poses ( all seated or laying down) to the target deeper connective tissue. These longer holds increase help to increase mobility, flexibility as well as releasing deep tension Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin stimulates the meridians (energy channels) improving the flow of energy throughout the body. Yin is slow and each pose held for 2/3 minutes. Creating this lovely stillness encourages mindfulness and engages the parasympathetic nervous system which in turn brings total calm to the mind. During the poses we will either practice some breath work or I read poems and inspirational parables etc. Yin works really well On-line. Simply find a quiet corner in your house, roll out your mat, light a candle and enjoy an hour of relaxation and restoration. Then no drive home just keep that feeling of calm and head to bed early for an amazing nights sleep. This practice is for anyone and there is no need for previous yoga experience therefore if you have space for an extra mat invite members of your family to join under the same booking.
