A B O U T M E
I have been practicing yoga for 16 years and it has become a large part of my every day life. Over the years I have tried many different types of yoga from Ashtanga, Hatha, Jivamukti to Yin and Restorative and they are all amazing and the benefits of each are wonderful.
From my first yoga class I felt a connection and loved the way it made me feel both physically and mentally. I felt I had stretched, worked my body and had a real feeling of release in both body and mind. I was instantly hooked on the physical and the breathing practices of yoga and continued to try various yoga classes along with my other keep fit regimes. Four years ago I decided to explore yoga further. I took at meditation course and started reading more about the other sides (limbs of yoga). In 2016 I completed the BWY (British Wheel of Yoga ) foundation 1 course and then completed the 245 hour teacher training with Yoga Alliance Professionals qualifying in December 2017.
I am very proud to now teach Hatha Yoga and feel so honoured to be teaching this amazing ancient practice - sharing my knowledge and love of yoga with others. I have increased my body strength and flexibility with yoga and it has helped me through some difficult times over the years. It is an incredible discipline with so many benefits and the beauty of it is that anyone of any age and ability can practice.
In yoga we work with the body, breath and mind. Breath is life and is the barometer of our internal self. In today’s fast paced life we have lost the ability to breath properly. I love to work with the breath, whether linking breathing to movement or practicing breathing techniques (pranayama) we can support our bodies to maintain good health and ease tension and stress. I often include pranayama in my classes.
Teaching is usually at my home studio in Teddington or at the NPL Sports Club Teddington. My classes are traditional Hatha Yoga combined with vinyasa flow. Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 I am now teaching online. Details below.

As from 4th November all classes are on Zoom. See below for days/times. Classes are 75 minutes and I vary them weekly, adapting them according to the level of the particular students/class. I usually theme the class and often also include pranayama (breathing practices) We always end the class with Savasana (10 minute relaxation). You will leave your yoga practice having felt that you have stretched and opened your body but also feel a sense of calm.
If you would like to join a class please contact me and I will send you the online Zoom invite via e mail. If you don't have the Zoom app this isn't a problem as when you receive the e mail and click the invite link it will prompt you to download Zoom. This takes less than a minute and is free to you. It is so easy to use.
Monday: - intermediate / vinyasa flow - Zoom 9.30am to 10.45am
gentle - zoom 11.30am to 12.45pm
Tuesday: - mixed ability / gentle flow - Zoom 6.15pm to 7.30pm
Wednesday: - intermediate / vinyasa flow Zoom 7.00pm to 8.15pm
Friday: - mixed ability / gentle flow - Zoom 9.30 am to 10.45am
Please contact me to book your place for all classes. For zoom, once paid if there is anyone else in your house who would like to join they can do so for no extra charge.
Payment by bank transfer
£12 per class. Either pay weekly or for block of lessons ( 5 / 6 or 10 weeks) whatever works for you.
